Since I will be officially earning my own money, I have been thinking of how I will be handling my finances. Actually, nagsisisi ako. My allowance when I was in college was 500 a day, and I didn't even have to pay for transportation or rent. I didn't have to pay for my school materials (which were tad expensive... taking up fine arts is expensive) with my allowance. I wasted about 70% of my college allowance on toiletries, makeup, shoes, and clothes. Also, I loved eating out and I was fond of taking cabs when I get back from shopping.

Recently, I spent 12,000 on clothes. For "corporate" clothes.

For now, I have stopped browsing online (ebay, etc.) and I won't be taking trips to the ukayan. I am determined to save 50,000 on my first year of working (that doesn't include bonuses). I will be setting up my savings account upon reaching 15,000 in a rural bank for a higher interest rate. When I do get to save another 10,000, I will invest in mutual funds and I intend to lock it down for 5-7 years.

But ultimately, my goal is to set up my own business (but in the far future) because no one gets rich solely by being employed.

Anyway, when I am tempted to spend for something, I just think of how little my money will grow in the bank. Even at 6% interest, that amount earned would be worth even less than a dress. It is really hard to earn money.

So everyone, let us start saving! I will update you guys on how my fund is doing.

I will be having my medical exam on monday! I was interviewed yesterday by the marketing head and the boss. They seem very nice naman. The boss told me she liked my portfolio over everyone else's (told you. haha. At mga professional graphic artist pa yung mga yun ah) and she's really considering me. I also had a practical exam apart from the interviews.

Medical exam diba tanggap na yun? The HR called me this morning to come over for the medical exam and also the other requirements. I think it means I have a job!

Anyway, another company sent me a letter I think I'm happy with this one now.

If you want to get a job - pray in the bathroom cubicle of the office! It seems to work and all my interviews have went well

My interview yesterday went quite well. Anyway, it wasn't really an interview - more like they checked my resume and credentials. I was given 5 tests! I was in the office from 8:30 am to 2pm. It's all good because they are interviewing me again tomorrow!

I really hope I do get hired. I will really list down all the answers to questions and maybe semi-memorize them because it's a given that I get all nervous during interviews.

One thing I am really proud of is my portfolio. My portfolio rocks (I'm just being honest haha).

It's 7:28 already. I haven't even reviewed for my interview. I just wish I'll have an out of body experience and talk like Kris Aquino (okay not sound like her but be as gutsy as she is). You see, whatever trick question the HR may have, I can probably think of the answer for that. It's just that I suck at talking. I get all jittery and my voice breaks. I hate myself for that. HATE!

Anyway, I just have to review and answer as much questions I can think of tonight and psyche myself. There was a time when I aced my marketing presentation and I just have to remind myself of that.

It is possible.

I have an interview already on Wednesday! I hope I'll get it!
